Women's Day 2022 - #BreaktheBias
International Women’s Day, marked on March 8th, is a day to celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness against bias and take action for equality.
At iTecknologi Group, we prioritize women’s empowerment and inclusive culture as part of our diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity initiatives. In celebration of International Women’s Day, the company organized an interactive session on this year’s theme for International Women’s Day, #BreaktheBias, encouraging female employees to think about unconscious biases, how to overcome those biases, and how they may help to empower the women around them.
Leading the conversation, our Human Resource Manager, Ms. Humna Yousuf added, ”Bias, whether intentional or unconscious, makes it difficult for women to advance. We all want to see a world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination, and organizations must play their part in it. Over the years, we at iTecknologi Group, have been able to provide opportunities and increase the number of females working across different departments, making our workforce more diverse and inclusive. We have some great female role models working with us. Despite the fact that breaking biases takes significantly more time than a single day, International Women’s Day continues to be a powerful amplifier of women’s voices and a crucial step forward.”
