Dress for Success
Presenting a positive representation of yourself is a key component of experiencing professional success. What you wear, how you communicate and your body language can all impact the image others have of you. Creating a professional look can help you command attention and serious consideration at work.
Employers realize that impressions made on clients and customers are important to the success of an organization. Employees typically are the “face” of the company, and employers often find it necessary to control that image. One of the major ways to create an impression is, by the way, one (particularly the employee)’s dress. This doesn’t only help in the brand building of the company but also helps employees stay confident and work better.
We, at iTecknologi Group of Companies, have been focused on the well-being and grooming of our employees. In continuation of this mission, this week’s session by the HR department was for the power dressing “Dress for Success”. The concept of Dress for Success is when we wear clothing, we feel great in, our confidence is lifted, and ultimately success increases. It is the notion of using our clothing to help us feel like the best version of ourselves, and the belief that when we dress the part and look like our most professional, put-together, and capable selves, other people relate to us accordingly and operate with us on a higher level.
The focus of the session was to deliver ideas to the participants of what sort of professional attire is trendy and what’s not, how can simple and comfortable attire can be carried professionally while not spending a hefty amount of money on clothes, only. This session also answered the questions, “What to wear? How to wear it? When to where it?” which can help our employees dress more effectively and feel more confident about workplace attire in today’s global environment.
