The Balochistan government in collaboration with iTecknologi Group of Companies, has introduced a vessel monitoring system in the province to ensure safety of marine life, fisheries and fishermen. The opening of the Fisheries Monitoring Centre was led by Chief Minister Balochistan in Surbandan.
iTecknologi Group of Companies has always led the way in creating innovative ways to facilitate the government with security and surveillance related issues. The implementation of Vessel Management System by iTecknologi Asset Tracking & Security will holistically improve security of the marine life and represent a significant step forward in protecting the most critical elements of the system while minimizing operational impacts.
Pakistan has become the first country in the region to implement vessel monitoring systems in such boats. With the installation of VMS, fishing boats will be helped to comply with environmental and fishing laws as well as promote conservation of rare marine life under a modern monitoring system. This will help the fishermen to monitor boats as well as help fishermen to stay within legal limits and not to cross the country’s marine borders.
The development of VMS is expected to revolutionize and enhance the security of Marine, as having the potential to increase the cost effectiveness and impact of traditional fisheries monitoring, control and surveillance methods by facilitating a more targeted deployment of these resources.
