iTecknologi slams “Profit by Pakistan Today”, an online publication, with a Defamation Notice of Rs. 1 Billion, through its legal counsel M/s Haidermota & CO.
As per the legal notice, the defamatory article, written by the publication against iTecknologi, is replete with false and libellous statements and blatant misrepresentations. The publishers and authors appear to have arrogated themselves to the position of a judge, jury and executioner. Surprisingly, the publisher never even bothered to establish any contact with iTecknologi for its point of view or version.
The legal notice has demanded that the said defamatory content be removed forthwith from the internet edition of Profit by Pakistan Today. It also demands the publishers and authors to retract the aforesaid defamatory content, to publish an unconditional apology both in the print edition and internet edition of Profit by Pakistan Today in the same prominence as the defamatory content, and, in addition thereto, pay to our Client a sum of Rs. 1,000,000,000/- (Rupees One Billion) failing which all civil and criminal remedies would be exercised against the publisher and authors of the defamatory article.
